    An experimental study of the removal of arsenic and lead residues from apples. Of the different chemical agents tried, viz., sodium silicate, sodium carbonate and coconut-oil soap, dilute hydrochloric acid, hydrochloric acid and salt, hydrochloric and nitric acid mixed, the best results were obtained with hydrochloric acid alone.
